Come to the Manger: Reading the Bible with Luther |
Theological Conference Pre-Event for lay people
Sunday, September 28; 3:00 p.m.
St. Andrew's Lutheran Church
501 16th Street NW Grand Rapids, MN
Many Christians today imagine that the Bible is a book of facts, a collection of moral truths, or a secret key to the future. Martin Luther read Scripture in an entirely different way, where the Word of God does something to us (not we to it), and where everything relates to the Bible's central point. Professor Timothy Wengert will help people rediscover this remarkable approach to the Bible and make it their own.
This event is free and open to the public. Lay people are strongly encouraged to attend. No registration required.
