Plus 55 - The Rice Lake Plus 55 group will meet at the Town Hall, Howard Gnesen and Beyer Rds, at 12:30 for a pot luck "picnic" on Wednesday, July 8th. Come, bring a dish to pass, and join the fun. There will be musical entertainment. Bring a friend!
Arnold Reunion - Saturday, July 26, Rice Lake Town Park at
11:00. If raining it will be at Family of God. |

Youth Mission Trip |
|
|
Luke, Sandy and Amanda Meints chaperoned 6 youth from our
church on a YouthWorks mission trip to Denver. Those youth are Conrad Meints, Sarah Meints, Meagan Guptill, Alex Urshan, Cara Valentine and Lucas Mattila. They painted houses, visited a
nursing home, planned and ran a VBS for Tanzanian refugees at
a church in Denver. They also enjoyed White Water Rafting on
their way home. This trip was June 21 - 27th. |

VBS Day Camp |
|
|
Dates are July 27-July 31 from 9 am- 3 pm (except Fri. 9-12 noon)
at Concordia. For students who have completed grades K-6. They are offering childcare before and after (7:30-9 am and 3-5:30 pm) for a donation. Price: $40 per child
**Family of God will cover housing and evening meals. The counselors stay at our church. We are looking for families to provide an evening meal (and shower) for them. Please call the church office if you are able to have them at your house any
given evening, Monday - Thursday. Or if you can provide a
meal at the church on Sunday evening.
They are looking at promoting a closing worship celebration on Friday morning (11:30 a.m.) followed by an ice cream social for students and parents.

Family of God at any time with your $40 payment per child. |

A Summer Night |
|
|
Tina and Dennis Korte invite you to join them and the Family of God for an evening by the lake. This gathering is for young and old. Pastor Gary has an insightful conversation about our fall season planned.
Please bring a dessert to share for a
dessert potluck. Bring your lawn chair
to sit on the beach. the evening will end with a rock skipping contest, complete with a prize.... so bring anyone with you with a good throwing arm.

WANTED- Lutheran BIke Riders |
|
|
Participating in The Habitat 500 is
an excellent way to raise money for
the homes listed above. This year’s
bike ride, July 12-18, is in southern
Minnesota. Riders pay an entrance fee
and are required to collect pledges to
ride. The ride is well supported with
rest stops and over night sleeping.
